Apply these principles on yourself and then on others for benefit of peace. Read carefully and be wise. Master Confucius said.
- To penetrate into the heart of a person is more difficult than to get into a mountain ravine. It is easier to know Heaven than the heart of a person.
The sky shows spring and autumn, summer and winter, day and night. In humans, the face is impenetrable, their feelings are deeply hidden. It occurs that a person is kind, but greedy by nature; seemingly capable, but in fact worthless; they look businesslike, but lazy in their soul; outwardly soft, but rude inside. That’s why it happens that a person strives for virtue, like a man dying of thirst - going to water, or runs away from it like a forest fire. That’s why a wise ruler sends a man on a long journey to test his devotion, and keeps him close, to test his reverence; gives a difficult mission to test his abilities; asks him unexpected questions to test his quick wits; orders to act quickly so as to test his trust; entrusts him with wealth in order to test his conscientiousness; advises him of danger in order to test his composure; gets him drunk to test his inclinations; puts him together with women to see if he is lustful.
These are nine tests by which to judge others. Anandmurti Gurumaa.
